Terms of service

The Service is intended for teachers and other adult educators. By using it, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.

You are responsible for the information you enter and for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. You must have the right to use any student information you add and must handle it in line with your school's policies and applicable law. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Classroom Seating Chart offers a Free plan and a one-time Pro purchase. Pro is a lifetime, non-recurring payment that unlocks higher class limits and the other features listed on our Pricing page. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, and your access to Pro unlocks once your payment is confirmed.

Prices and included features may change for future purchases, but a completed purchase keeps the access it granted at the time. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] and we will work with you in good faith.

You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service, including class names, student names, notes, layouts, and seating charts (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of Your Content.

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not: attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service; access or attempt to access other users' accounts or data; reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law; upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

We work hard to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We recommend exporting important charts to PDF so you keep your own copies.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm to us or others. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete Your Content in line with our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law, including any claim relating to student information you entered without proper authorization.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law, you agree that the courts located in Jhargram, West Bengal, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
